Practical Icelandic language course for parents of children with multicultural backgrounds in compulsory schools

The Family Division of the Árborg Municipality is currently preparing an Icelandic course for parents of children with a multicultural background in compulsory schools. The aim of the project is to invite parents of compulsory school pupils with a multicultural background in the Municipality of Árborg to a free Icelandic course where they will get to know the main concepts and strengthen vocabulary related to school activities. The course will take place in Vallaskóli.

Free language stimulation will be offered for participants' children during the course, in the form of games and conversations, in collaboration with the Icelandic Red Cross.

The course starts on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. School principals have already sent information to parents.
