Children's dental care
Children aged up to 18 receive all necessary general dental services and only pay a fixed fee once a year, 3,500 ISK. A prerequisite for the contribution from the Health Insurance is that the child has a family dentist, and parents are responsible for making an appointment with the dentist.
Dentists can also complete the registration upon arrival to an appointment. Parents/guardians are encouraged to make an appointment for the first dental exam when the child is two years old.
