Within Árnes region there is a consultation team, which works on responding to traumatic events. The team includes representatives from the municipal social services, police, health care services, church and the Red Cross. One of the roles of the team is to provide residents with information on where and how they can seek help from these institutions, e.g. due to COVID-19 or recent earthquakes in the Reykjanes peninsula.
