The Family Division of the Municipality of Árborg submitted an opinion on a draft proposal for a parliamentary resolution on an action plan for immigrants for the years 2021 – 2024 .
The action plan presents measures that reflect the main objectives of the Act on Immigrants no. 116/2012 on promoting a society where everyone can be an active participant regardless of nationality and origin. Emphasis is placed on five pillars: society, family, education, labour market and refugees .
In the opinion of the Árborg Family Division, the action plan is ambitious and extensive, but it is important to ensure that it is accompanied by sufficient funding so that it can be implemented. In addition, proper follow-up of the action plan is essential. The Árborg Family Division expressed its willingness to share knowledge and experience that the division's employees have and that can be used in developing this field nationwide.
